Because You Can STRONG is an online platform of recorded videos and live Zoom strength training workouts. The workouts use minimal equipment that most people have at home (resistance bands and dumbbells). The workouts are designed to promote strength in a fun and challenging manner. Whether you're a beginner or a regular gym go-er, you will find something to suit your level. Watch the video to find out why you need to get STRONG. Because you can.

Meet Lynne

Lynne Loiselle is a personal trainer and level 4 EssentricsĀ® instructor in Calgary, Alberta. She has been in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years teaching fitness classes and working one-on-one as a personal trainer. In the past she competed nationally as a drug-free bodybuilder. Her passion now lies in helping women and men get strong so that they can move better, feel stronger and live as independently as possible for as long as possible.  Because she truly believes that you can.

What is included in my membership?

Membership includes access to all recorded videos and 3 live Zoom classes weekly.

Your first 7 days are free to try, after which your credit card will be charged based on the subscription plan chosen (monthly or annually).

How do I access the live Zoom classes?

Your membership includes 3 weekly live Zoom 1/2 hour classes.

  • Mondays 1:30pm

  • Tuesdays 6:30pm

  • Wednesdays 8:30am

Please note that new Zoom participants will have to fill out a health form and waiver. These will be sent along with the Zoom log-in information.

Please note that there will not be any Zoom classes on statutory holidays or when Lynne takes holiday time.

How does the free trial work?

Once you are subscribed to the platform, you will have 7 days free trial of all videos and live classes. Once your trial period is over, your credit card will be charged according to the subscription chosen (monthly or annually).

If you choose to not continue with the online platform and you do not want your credit card charged, you must cancel your subscription before the end of your trial period.

I am new to strength training. Is this for me?

All of our videos and classes are adaptable to all levels.

That said, as with all exercise programs, you need to use common sense and workout at an intensity that is right for you when using our exercise videos or doing our live Zoom classes.

Once you are a member, I encourage you to watch the section of videos called "Tutorials". There you will find several videos explaining fundamental movements and exercises. These exercises will be found in almost every workout and will help you build a solid foundation.

Also, if you are new to strength training, I encourage you to choose the videos labelled "Beginner".

Please check with your doctor before beginning any fitness program. By performing any fitness exercises, you are performing them at your own risk.

Do I need special equipment for the videos and classes?

Because You Can STRONG videos and live classes are designed to get you strong using minimal equipment.

Here is a list of the common tools we will use:

  • Resistance bands (these can be Theraband-type bands, bands with handles, tubing, fabric bands and mini looped bands)

    • I recommend having 2 long bands (4-6 feet long) of different intensities

    • I also recommend having 2 mini looped bands of different intensities

  • Dumbbells

    • You do not have to go out and buy a large assortment of dumbbells

    • I recommend having 2 sets of dumbbells (one lighter, one heavier)

  • Various equipment

    • Sturdy chair

    • Exercise mat

    • Towel, cushion or riser for head support when lying on the floor

Please note that all equipment needed will be mentioned at the beginning of every video.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you do not want to continue, you can cancel your membership at any time.

Once signed into your account, you can cancel your recurring subscription by clicking My Account or Dashboard from the top navigation menu. Select Billing and locate your subscription plan at the bottom of the page.  Click Change Plan and Cancel Membership. Your membership will be cancelled and your access will be removed at the end of your current payment period.

Please note that there are no refunds for partially unused membership periods.
